Register to Vote

If you have not registered to vote, or if you have any change to your name, residence address or mailing address, you must register to vote 15 days prior to the general election to be able to vote.

 

Follow this link to download a voter registration form.Please note that current law requires that all voters sign and return their registration card. Please register early to allow sufficient time for this process.

* local Library
* local City Clerk Offices
* Contra Costa County Elections Office

 

 

Apply to Vote Absentee

Any registered voter may vote by "absentee ballot" also known as "voting by mail." The last day the county election office may accept applications by mail is 7 days before an election. A voter may receive a ballot in the county election office, in person, up to and including Election Day. However, if you know you are going to vote absentee, it is in your best interest to apply as early as possible.
